Lee Donaldson

Lee Donaldson’s career started in fashion. Tailoring and making clothes for clients including legendary punk band 'The Clash', then as a buyer for fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto in London and New York and then fashion styling & journalism for 'The Face’ magazine.

His directing career began in TV with an adrenalin sports shows for Sky Sports followed by a very successful stint in branding at SKY. He was then was poached by Channel 4 as their first dedicated branding Director and has since directed branding and TV programmes for BBC, ITV and various independent production companies. ‘Tenants’ - a short film written and directed by Lee gave him his break into television commercials and represented by The Artist Company, Nolan Boulter Films in London and The Family in Italy he went on to win awards at Cannes, Kinsale and Eurobest with his commercials for clients such as Playstation, Nintendo, FIAT and Sky. Further commercials for a range of products including Unison, Proctor and Gamble, The Sun, News of the World, Anadin, Sekonda, MG and Waterstones , plus music videos - including a classic for the band Madness - and a feature film 'The Virgin of Liverpool', starring Imelda Staunton, Johnny Vegas and Ricky Tomlinson have secured him a place on the rosta at SMASH  MANAGEMENT.
